About The/Nudge
The/Nudge is an action institute building resilient livelihoods to alleviate poverty. We work with women, farmers, tribals and youth on rural development, agriculture, skilling and economic inclusion, along with 15+ central and state government partners.
Our economic inclusion journey for 25 million Indians has reached 10 states with $250M of government funding to cover 1.25M people. Our incubator, accelerator and grand challenges have supported 200+ social entrepreneurs, including 17 Forbes 30U30, 3 EarthShot Prize winners, 1 Time Magazine cover and more.

About the Program
Economic Inclusion Program (EIP) is solving for households in an extremely vulnerable state through a targeted, multi-faceted and sequenced model involving cash transfer and care, which has demonstrated that poverty can be conquered.
The/Nudge is working with the Meghalaya Government Innovation Lab and Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS), Government of Meghalaya, to help increase adoption of the graduation approach/ economic inclusion program by targeting 50,000 ultra-poor/ poorest of the poor, mainly single distress mothers through community institutions..
This position is for the District Lead who will be positioned at identified districts within the state and will be responsible for looking after 3/4 blocks and will report to the State Lead - Meghalaya EIP.
About the Role:
To understand and practice the Spirits of The/Nudge Institute and MSRLS
Ensure all project activities are implemented on time with the utmost quality as per the approved Project Implementation Plan (PIP)/ Standard Operating Procedure (SoP)/ Package of Practice (PoP)/ Community Operational Manual (COM) in the respective districts.
Coordinate with DMMU and BMMU to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
Coordinate and facilitate in organising capacity building training of project team and community.
Coordinate and lead in organising any project-related event at the regional and district.
Coordinate and support in any field visits of dignitaries and officials.
Ensure timely planning and implementation of project activities.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting related to the project to respective offices.
Facilitate the timely collection/ entry, processing and reporting of data.
Support and practice monitoring & evaluation of projects.
Good stakeholder management at the grassroots level.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be a post-graduate, preferably in relevant streams like rural development, rural management, agriculture, forestry, social work, anthropology, etc.
Candidate must have 3-6 years of relevant experience in the development sector/ rural development projects/ poverty eradication projects/ livelihood promotion projects/ tribal development projects.
Candidates with work experience working in district-level positions in National Rural Livelihood Mission/ State Rural Livelihood Missions in Institution Building, Capacity Building, Social Inclusion, Social Development, and Livelihood Promotion will be preferred.
The candidate must have her/his own two-wheeler with a valid driving license, as it is a field job.
Candidates with knowledge of the local languages of Garo-Hills, Meghalaya would be preferred.
