About the Program
We are solving for households in poverty who are also financially and socially vulnerable through a targeted, multi-faceted, and sequenced model called the graduation approach, which has demonstrated that we can durably pull households out of poverty.
At The/Nudge Institute, we have been piloting this program for the past 3 years and are now scaling it across multiple states. Our purpose is to enable the most excluded individuals to become contributing members of the economy. We will
- Enable the government to adopt the program by providing research, design, and implementation support
- Continue to iterate on the program design to create impact at scale through our own implementation efforts
- Support more NGOs in adopting the graduation approach by offering technical expertise and capacity building
- Build evidence on the graduation approach to nudge governments to adopt at scale
- Develop technology solutions that enable NGOs and governments to adopt and implement the program at scale and with quality
Who are we solving for?
- women farmers from landless, marginal and small landholders with an average family size of 5-6 members who have unpredictable wage labor
- male members migrate for livelihood opportunities
- These farmers need a diversified & sustainable income to withstand life shocks, as well as to improve their food & income security, asset value & savings, access to safety nets and financial instruments, so as to come out of poverty.
What are we solving for?
Farmers in India have experienced newer opportunities through livestock based livelihood models promoted by govt/ markets, but there’s a need to build sustainable pro-poor models at population scale. While we are implementing livestock promotion models (backyard poultry and goatery models) in Uttar Pradesh, we also recognize and work towards building a deeper understanding of the value chain to create incentives for markets to participate & leverage govt resources to solve for:
- Infrastructure (Land & assets, Information & Technology)
- Standardization of rearing practices
- Forward & backward linkages for farmers
- Collectivization of efforts through community institutions (SHGs)
- Organized production
What will you do?
Sarathi is a national technology platform for implementing and monitoring Economic Inclusion Programs (EIP) based on the Graduation Approach. As the platform scales across multiple states, we are looking to onboard a dedicated product rollout & support associate who will play a critical role in ensuring smooth user experience, timely resolution of field issues, and robust support operations.
The role sits at the intersection of tech, field operations, and user support — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, impact-focused environment and is excited to be a part of scaling a national public tech product.
- Field Support & Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for user-reported issues from state teams; triage, troubleshoot, and coordinate with tech teams for resolution.
- Rollout Coordination: Track and support implementation timelines across states; ensure adherence to rollout protocols and readiness checklists.
- User Communication & Engagement: Maintain proactive communication with field teams through support channels (Slack, WhatsApp, Jira); provide timely updates, clarifications, and usage guidance.
- User Feedback Management: Collect, document, and synthesize user feedback to inform product improvements and roadmap planning.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track issue trends, adoption metrics, and support performance; flag risks and generate periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- User Training: conduct user training and refreshers for new modules as required
With 5+ states live and plans for national rollout in next 1 year, this role will ensure our users on the ground are heard, supported, and successful, while the team maintains momentum on feature development and adoption.
You’ll help turn Sarathi into a responsive, user-first product with the potential to transform rural livelihoods at scale.
Who are we looking for in this role?
- 3-5 years of experience in product operations, field-facing program roles, tech support, or implementation support in a development sector or public tech environment.
- Strong communication skills – especially written communication and user empathy.
- Comfortable working across multiple communication platforms (Slack, WhatsApp, Jira, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple moving parts.
- Language skills (Hindi and/or regional language) is a plus, given the field-facing nature of the role.
